OUR STORY

Harkoi Studio is the joint venture of two sisters: Suruchi and Shivani. Throughout our individual careers (Suruchi as a textile designer and Shivani a brand marketer), we had always dreamed of having our own clothing line that aligned with our own values of comfort, sustainability, slow made, and supporting hand crafts and the humans whose hands make them.

Harkoi is not simply a clothing line to us. We endeavor to create long-lasting relationships with the weavers, printers, tailors, and other artisans that are financially and emotionally nurturing to all. We hope the pieces we create together resonate with you, and we design and produce with longevity in mind, so that you enjoy your Harkoi pieces for a very long time, and we look forward to building personal connections with those who enjoy Harkoi’s style, and creating a community where lovers of fine hand-crafted, sustainably produced fashion can find like-minded compatriots.

We chose the name Harkoi – which translates to “everyone” – to represent our commitment to benefit every person who touches or is touched by a Harkoi Studio item, from the artisan to the buyer.
